Prince Edward Island’s seaside villages and idyllic countryside are transformed into Canada’s hottest new cycling destination with Tour de PEI! Named Road Event Organizer of the Year by the Canadian Cycling Association in 2007, this thrilling event is a chance for cycling fans of all ages to watch 100 of the world’s top female cyclists in action.
Bring the whole family to this fun, free event from June 7 – 11, 2009. The race crosses many communities across the Island, so you’re never far from the action. Tour de PEI also includes fun races for children, concerts and performers, and a celebrity bike ride!
Tour de PEI is sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale.
Calling all Volunteers!
The Tour de PEI organizing committee needs your help. Volunteers are needed for a variety of jobs throughout the week, including constructing fencing and the Start and Finish lines, serving at nightly banquets, directing crowds and traffic, and more. It’s a fun way to meet fellow cycling fans while watching Olympic-calibre athletes compete. Click here for more information and to register online.
